Housed in the restored 1925 Delray High School building, the Crest Theatre was dedicated in 1993. Originally the high school auditorium, the Crest Theatre was re-designed as an intimate, state-of-the-art performance space combining the original high school color (blue) with warm burgundy and gold accents. Two stories of additional space were added during restoration to provide backstage, dressing room and storage areas. The original proscenium remains an important historic feature of the theater. The Crest provides a truly intimate entertainment experience.

Join us at South Seas Island Resort for a performance by Singer/Songwriter, Livingston Taylor. Doors open at 7 p.m. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served, and a cash bar will be available. The concert will take place inside the Captiva Ballroom, next to Doc Ford's, across from Chadwick's Square.
Livingston Taylor recorded his first record at the age of 18 and has continued to create well-crafted, introspective, and original songs that have earned him listeners worldwide. From top-40 hits “I Will Be in Love with You” and “I’ll Come Running,” to “I Can Dream of You” and “Boatman,” both recorded by his brother James Taylor, Livingston’s creative output has continued unabated. He is equally at home with a range of musical genres—folk, pop, gospel, jazz—and from upbeat storytelling to touching ballads.
He has toured with major artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffett and Jethro Tull, and he maintains a busy concert schedule of over 80 shows a year. A natural performer, he peppers his shows with personal stories, anecdotes and ineffable warmth that connect him to his fans. His relaxed on-stage presence belies the depth of his musical knowledge, and fans might just as often be treated to a classic Gershwin or something from the best of Broadway.

GREEN MOUNTAIN EXPRESS WITH LIVINGSTON TAYLOR, SUSAN WERNER, AND PETER MULVEY
Grafton, VT – Burlington, VT and return, November 7 – 11, 2018.
Join us for a voyage deep into the heart of Vermont this fall. Explore the hidden valleys, quaint villages, craggy mountains and vibrant towns with your host Livingston Taylor and friends Susan Werner and Peter Mulvey. Travel on our own exclusive private train - vintage rail cars, with live music onboard each day, delicious, locally-sourced food and beverages and a backyard view of everything that makes Vermont truly a state apart.
We will be starting and ending our journey at the Grafton Inn, an extraordinary hostelry in one of New England's most postcard-perfect little villages, then the next day we'll launch this unforgettable rail journey from Bellows Falls to Burlington on our own rolling listening room featuring some of the finest voices in music today. We'll have the perfect soundtrack, live, right in front of us as we travel from Bellows Falls to Burlington, then we'll 2 nights in Burlington in our hotel overlooking the Lake, with restaurants, galleries, and other attractions steps outside the door. a full day to explore Burlington follows, with tours of some iconic Vermont landmarks, then a concert in one of Burlington's premier listening venues. And then we do it all in reverse, returning to a final dinner and overnight at the Grafton Inn. If you're a musician, bring your instrument and join in at the Open Mic or one of the spontaneously erupting song circles!
This trip offers the best Vermont has to offer – picture-perfect tiny villages, rolling farmland, the majestic Connecticut River, spectacular Lake Champlain, and the eclectic and artsy small city of Burlington, and cows…. We can pretty much guarantee there will be some cows.
Comfortable vintage rail cars make up our home on the rails - with plenty of seating for 60 voyagers. The Performance Car with a small stage area at one end and audience seating the length of the car; a lounge car with fresh, locally-sourced delicacies throughout the day; a table-and-chair car where you can stow your gear and stretch out. These three cars date from the late 1930’s, when they were among the first streamliner cars built for the Santa Fe Railway. The MacIntyre, a turn-of-the-century business car, brings up the rear - complete with open-end observation platform, brass fixtures, formal parlor and dining room.
THE ITINERARY:
Wednesday, November 7: We invite you to make your way to Grafton, Vermont (3 hours from Boston, 4 hours from New York, a straight shot up I-91, or via Amtrak from Washington, Philadelphia and the Big Apple – just let us know you're taking the Vermonter up to Bellows Falls, Vermont, and we’ll pick you up at the station!). Our home for the night is the lovely and historic Grafton Inn, the hub of one of New England’s most charming and picturesque villages. Dinner can be procured at either of the Inn’s restaurants, or if you’ve driven yourself, you’re welcome to explore the dining options in nearby Bellows Falls and Saxtons River. We’ll be hosting an evening social hour in which you can meet your fellow travelers and artists.Thursday, November 8: A morning shuttle bus arrives to take us to the charming village of Bellows Falls where our chartered train awaits. This day-long, music-filled journey over rare, freight-only mileage cuts a diagonal across the state - from the historic Connecticut River Valley, up the Black River to the ski town of Ludlow; over the spine of the Green Mountains, through the marble-mining areas surrounding Rutland to the lush farmland of Addison County -home to Middlebury College- and the beauty of Lake Champlain and the Queen City of Burlington. Late afternoon arrival gives us time to check into our hotel, and head out on the town to explore. Burlington is a largely undiscovered gem of a New England City, with great restaurants, brew pubs, and other attractions – all within walking distance of our hotel, overlooking the lake.
Friday, November 9: The day is yours to structure as you please, or you can join us for a tour of some of the region's great attractions – a guided tour of the extensive grounds and gardens of the Shelburne Museum, lunch at the museum café, a tour of the legendary Ben and Jerry’s factory (free samples!) and Flavor Graveyard, a visit to a local cider mill – all in time to return you to Burlington for a group dinner and an evening concert at the Higher Ground. A second night at our Burlington hotel follows.
Saturday, November 10: We again board our chartered train, and re-trace our journey to Bellows Falls. Passing through Cavendish, we will pass over the spot where Phineas Gage made medical history. Upon our return, our shuttle collects at the station and whisks us back to the Grafton Inn for a farewell dinner and informal music in the pub.
Sunday, November 11: Following our final breakfast at the Inn, we bid you all a fond farewell as you head home. Shuttle service to the Bellows Falls station is provided for any who are taking the train southward.
THE ARTISTS:
LIVINGSTON TAYLOR: Legendary singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor picked up his first guitar at the age of 13, which began a 50-year career that has encompassed performance, songwriting, and teaching. Born in Boston and raised in North Carolina, Livingston is the fourth child in a very musical family that includes Alex, James, Kate, and Hugh. Livingston recorded his first record at the age of 18 and has continued to create well crafted, introspective, and original songs that have earned him listeners worldwide. Livingston was recently celebrated by Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker for his fiftieth year of making music with a day named in his honor.SUSAN WERNER: Originally schooled in the world of opera, Susan Werner was re-directed toward writing and performing her own music by a fortuitous experience at a Nanci Griffith concert that forged her musical path. Widely regarded as one of the most creative, compassionate, and witty songwriters around, Susan continues to reinvent herself with new music that draws upon the great traditions of jazz, folk, gospel and even pop music of the 60s and 70s. She's written music and lyrics for a musical based on the film Bull Durham, had a song covered by the great Tom Jones, and continues to expand her creativity. None other than the New Yorker has said “Susan Werner, a clever songwriter and an engaging performer, brings literacy and wit back to popular song.”
PETER MULVEY: Peter began his career on the streets of Dublin, Ireland, as a busker, and from there moved on to
performing in the subways and streets of Boston. This led to his first record deal and a leap to full-time national and international touring, beginning in the early Nineties. Ever the iconoclast, he has made seventeen records,
spanning rock and roll, folk, Jazz, spoken word, and Americana. A long-standing gig at the National Youth Science Camp led to a spoken word piece, “Vlad the Astrophysicist”, which became a TEDx talk, and then an illustrated book. Peter tours extensively throughout the US (often by bicycle!) and Europe, collaborates extensively with other artists such as Ani DeFranco, Anais Mitchell, Keb' Mo and teaches songwriting and guitar technique at the annual Swannanoa Gathering and other folk festivals.

About The Fred Taylor Scholarship Fund
The Fred Taylor Scholarship Fund was created to preserve the legacy of the famed jazz booker and promoter, who has helped to launch the careers of countless jazz stars throughout his storied career. Grace Kelly, approached Berklee College of Music President Roger Brown with the idea to create an endowed scholarship at her alma mater in Fred’s honor in 2017. President Brown jumped at the idea. Brown said of Fred Taylor: “Fred is not simply great at what he does: choosing remarkable talent, putting the artist in the best possible situation so their unique talents can reach an audience, and making that artist feel comfortable and appreciated. He is also a truly wonderful guy… we all cherish knowing Fred.”

FIVE YEARS OF OSM!
Wow, time flies, eh? I wasn’t sure if this would be a one time event but because of the fans of the OSM experience, we are celebrating 5 years this fall! This may be the last year for OSM as I have plans to move this fall season destination vacation to a new exciting locale! So if you have been wanting to come for many years and haven’t, I would highly advise you to make 2019 the year to come explore Rhode Island with me.
I absolutely love showing off my adopted home state of Rhode Island with the attendees of OSM. It’s another year, another 3 days of masterfully serenaded adventures at even more breathtaking locations in The Ocean State.

WMVY is also a non-profit. They are here to inform and encourage their listeners while spreading great music, including songs from me, my friends, and my family.
I care about supporting the station; I hope you do as well. They had to cancel their spring fund drive, so if you are able, now is a graet time to make a donation. Please visit:

LIVINSTON TAYLOR
DRIVE-ON CONCERT SERIES AT THE YARMOUTH DRIVE-IN ON CAPE COD
Thursday, August 6, 8:00 PM
Where: Yarmouth Drive-in on Cape Cod, 669 Route 28, West Yarmouth, MA
How can people get tickets: Head to yarmouthdrivein.com
What is the Yarmouth Drive-In? The Yarmouth Drive-in is the newest and one of the biggest entertainment complexes in New England. Located on the site of the Old Yarmouth Drive-In the new facility has three massive LED screens, a giant stage and room for more than 450 cars. Fans park in specially designed parking suites which are large enough that they can get out of their vehicle and still socially distance from others while they enjoy the show.
What is Drive-On? Drive-On Concerts are a new way for bands and entertainers to interact with fans. When guests arrive they have their own parking suite waiting for them (with enough room to socially distance from one another). There they can park, get out, set up chairs and enjoy the show. Fans will be able to Drive-On, tune-in, and rock out with their favorite entertainers in a way that wasn’t possible just a few weeks ago.
How are people staying safe? Out of an abundance of caution, all attendees must enter the venue traveling in a vehicle to be admitted, and must stay in their respective vehicle parking space unless using the restroom, or picking up concession orders. Patrons are required to wear a mask at all times outside of their vehicle spaces.

Livingston Taylor @ The Ghost Light Series The Boch Center / NECN
The Boch Center is launching the Ghost Light Series, a live music program filmed onstage at the Wang Theatre. Set to air on NECN, the series will showcase critically acclaimed artists including Keb' Mo', Lori McKenna, The Mammals, Tom Rush, Noel Paul Stookey, Jonathan Edwards, and more.
The Ghost Light Series will premiere Friday, September 25 at 7:30 PM with The Mammals and air every other week in the same time slot.
For centuries, theatres around the world have had what is known as a Ghost Light, a single lamp left shining when everyone has left. The legend is that this light protects actors, patrons and theatres from bad luck and ghosts. Each half-hour show in the Ghost Light Series will feature artists performing to an empty audience on the Boch Center stage illuminated only by the Ghost Light. There will be no amps and no spotlights, just the artists and their instruments, playing and sharing stories, and revealing what it is like to be a musician at a time when you are cut off from your audience.

Folk Alliance International 2021 Cantina Navarro
Join Livingston Taylor in the Cantina Navarro Thursday, February 25 at Folk Unlocked: the Folk Alliance International 2021 Conference!
In place of an in-person conference this year, FAI is hosting Folk Unlocked, a five-day virtual event for the entire international folk community to come together for panels, workshops, showcases, affinity and peer group meetings, exhibit spaces, networking, and mentorship. We are unlocking the doors and windows of the house of folk to be as broad and inclusive as possible, inviting those who have been loyally attending Folk Alliance International conferences for years while aiming to reach folk musicians and professionals who have never benefited from or attended FAI before.
This is a year for innovation and creativity, and we will host a space for community building and career development for everyone from the comfort and safety of their own home. We hope to push the boundaries of what our community can achieve with technology, and though this means not every aspect of our typical annual conference will be able to exist in this format, we’re excited for this opportunity to initiate a new way of connection.
Programming will be interactive, whether live-streamed or pre-recorded, and recordings will be available for later viewing, allowing folks from around the globe to tune in when they can.
More programming details will be coming soon! To make sure you receive any updates about Folk Unlocked, please sign up for our conference email list. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at fai@folk.org or 816-221-3655.
Public showcase access is available to non-industry folks who’d like to see all of the performances happening during Folk Unlocked! Access is a suggested donation of $20.

After touring for over 50 years, teaching “Stage Performance” for 30 years at Berklee College of Music & critiquing over 10,000 performances, Livingston is thrilled to be hosting this master class at Club Passim. The session will laser focus on stage performance techniques & confident, fear-free presentations. This master class is not only for musicians, but for educators, speakers, business professionals — anyone who is looking to take their public speaking & presentation skills to the next level. This will result in a dramatic improvement of the stage experience for both you & your audience.
Given the 2-hour length of the masterclass, Livingston won’t be able to do many individual critiques, but he will call folks up at random, pulling names from a hat, and have them perform.
Registration is $45 for members and $50 for the general public.

Join your own Cape Symphony Orchestra and legendary performer Livingston Taylor for an evening of music spanning the decades, from Broadway and jazz favorites to folk and the classic American songbook. Audiences are sure to be mesmerized by this unforgettable performance.
Cape Symphony has entertained audiences on the Cape and Islands for more than 60 years, presenting year-round concerts in both classical and pops genres. In complement to the world-class Cape Symphony Orchestra musicians, they welcome to the stage charismatic guest artists and conductors who take audiences on an unforgettable journey.
Special guest Livingston Taylor picked up his first guitar at the age of 13, which began a more than 50-year career that has encompassed performance, songwriting, and teaching. Born in Boston and raised in North Carolina, Livingston is the fourth child in a very musical family that includes Alex, James, Kate, and Hugh. Livingston recorded his first record at the age of 19 and has continued to create beautifully crafted, introspective, original songs as well as sparkling interpretations of the classic songbook that have earned him enthusiastic listeners worldwide.
Livingston has never stopped performing since his early coffeehouse days, touring with major artists such as Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Buffett, and Jethro Tull. He maintains a busy concert schedule, touring both nationally and internationally. Livingston is a natural performer, peppering his shows with personal stories, anecdotes and ineffable warmth that connect him to his fans. His relaxed on-stage presence belies the depth of his musical knowledge, and fans might just as often be treated to a classic Gershwin or a favorite from a Broadway musical.
From top 40 hits “Carolina Day,” “Get out of Bed,” “I Will Be in Love with You” and “I’ll Come Running,” to “I Can Dream of You” and “Boatman,” (the last two recorded by his brother James), Livingston’s creative output has continued unabated. His musical knowledge has inspired a varied repertoire, and he is equally at home with a range of musical genres—folk, pop, gospel, jazz.
Livingston's 50th year of making music was celebrated by Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, both declaring January 18, 2017 "Livingston Taylor Day". "Livingston Taylor: Life is Good,” a documentary feature film directed by Tracy Anarella, was released in 2018 at national and international film festivals, garnering awards, nominations, and accolades, including The Van Gogh Award for Feature Documentary at the Amsterdam International Film Festival.
